Our International Institute of Risk & Safety Management (IIRSM) approved training course runs for four days. It is designed to provide the necessary information and detail to inform customers of their obligations under PUWER and CE/UKCA along with knowledge to help enable much of the required marking processes to be carried out in-house.
The training includes both knowledge-based training and supervision modules, where upon completion, the candidates will be eligible for examination to determine that they have achieved the required level of competence. Upon successful completion of the examinations, we will provide certification from MSCS + IIRSM declaring that the candidate has achieved the required level of competence as detailed in the syllabus.
We give users the knowledge to use and maintain machinery safely following the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998. There is a particular focus on purchasing new and second-hand equipment by developing awareness of the manufacturer’s obligations under EU Directives and UK regulations, concentrating on the processes involved in CE/UKCA Marking (Regulation 10).
Our course provides the knowledge and experience to understand the requirements of the Machinery Directive and The Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations. The course aims to provide information, knowledge, and experience to help achieve competence to design, purchase or modify machinery following the European Machinery Directive (2006/42/EC), and associated directives or with the equivalent UK regulations. It also educates participants on achieving compliance by CE or UKCA marking.
We give users, engineers and designers of safety-related control systems the knowledge and experience to develop compliant and validated Functional Safety Systems under BS EN ISO 13849-1, BS EN 62061 and BS EN 61508. We demonstrate practical methods of verification and validation of systems.
Whilst following the standards aren't law they can be used to show compliance with it. Various standards can be used under PUWER and for UKCA/CE marking to demonstrate compliance, some of which are:
